What We Believe

We believe that our worship reflects what we believe about God and His revealed love for the world in the passion and death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. As a result, we worship God in both Word and Sacrament. We celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) both because they are commanded by Jesus and because they are channels through which He lovingly imparts His grace to us. We believe the Bible to be God’s Holy and infallible Word. We further teach that the Bible in its original manuscripts is without error. We believe that the Holy Spirit works in the lives of all believers as He has done since the foundation of the New Testament Church at Pentecost. As Anglican Christians, we share a deep commitment to liturgical worship that is theologically consistent with the historic teachings of the undivided Church. In addition, as a historic Anglican church, we embrace the three Creeds (Athanasian, Apostles', Nicene), the 39 Articles of Religion of the Anglican Church, and the Book of Common Prayer and the Ordinal.
